Once a stray in Houston, this gentle soul now thrives in foster care and is ready to find the loving home he deserves. Walter is 65 lbs of pure devotion, belly rub enthusiasm, and good-boy energy — a graduate of obedience school who loves lounging in his bed on command and walking calmly on leash like a pro. He’s fully house-trained, crate-trained, and highly treat-motivated, making him an easy companion to bond with and continue training.
Walter does best with slow introductions to new people, especially men — but once he trusts you, you’ll see the affectionate, goofy boy beneath. He’s previously lived with a small child who respected his space and would thrive in a home with older, dog-savvy kids. While he hasn’t met cats yet, he’s open to a canine sibling after proper introductions. This active boy would love an adopter who enjoys walks or jogs, but he’s also more than happy to curl up beside you afterward.
