From her Foster Mom: “I was lucky enough to foster this sweet 3yr old girl for 6wks in March and April 2023. She unfortunately was not a fan of our cat, so my family could not adopt her. She is back in the shelter now, and not doing well in that environment and is depressed.
If she does not get adopted soon and continues to deteriorate in the shelter she will be a candidate for euthanasia. Verbena will make a wonderful dog for a person/family who does not have cats. She is completely house trained. She thinks she is a lap dog and LOVES to spend time with her people.
She is a quiet dog and rarely bark, even when no one is in the house and she would be in her crate. She is great on a leash and is not reactive to people or other dogs when on a leash. She loves to play fetch and tug of war. She also loves enrichment toys (treats in a box or cardboard paper towel holder, frozen peanut butter kong, etc).
She loves dog parks with agility equipment! It is quite amazing to watch her run and jump. Verbena has beautiful soulful eyes and one ear that stands up and one ear that falls over – it is really cute.”
Below is her write up from the shelter: “This snuggly baby is fully convinced that her life purpose is to sit on laps. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy to relax and watch a movie with, Verbena is your girl. She likes to stay beside her favorite humans, and is a very good leash walker. She already knows sit, down, stay, off, touch, and loves treats, so she will be a quick learner! Verbena is an athletic girl that also loves to run the agility course in her free time. She is kennel trained and content sleeping in her kennel at night. This princess is not a fan of felines, so no cat siblings please! Come by KCPP to meet this pretty girl today!”
