Tuba, affectionately known as “Tuba Good Boy,” is a 3-year-old pug who made his way to rescue with volunteers from Pug Nation LA alongside his travel buddy Snort. From the moment he arrived, it was clear this happy-go-lucky boy came with one setting: joy. His foster describes him as friendly, affectionate, smart, and above all—HAPPY (in all caps, as it should be).

He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just enter a room—he joins your life. Tuba loves people, enjoys playing with other dogs, and even gets along with cats. But his favorite place in the world is simple: right next to his person.

Why Tuba Is Impossible Not to Love

🐾 3-year-old pug with a big personality in a small package
💖 Extremely affectionate and people-oriented (“velcro pug energy”)
🐶 Social with dogs and friendly toward cats
🎾 Loves zooming around the yard and playful dog buddies
🛋️ Expert-level couch cuddler with a soft blanket obsession
🚗 Travels well when crated and settles nicely in the car

What He’s Looking For

✔️ A home that can give him daily walks, play, and mental stimulation
✔️ A fenced yard where he can safely enjoy his zoomies
✔️ A patient adopter willing to continue his potty training routine
✔️ A home where he can be an only dog or live with a playful companion
✔️ Well-mannered children 6+ if kids are in the home
✔️ A lifestyle filled with consistency, structure, and lots of affection

Tuba is already showing great progress with house training, especially when routines, praise, and “crunchies” (his favorite reward system) are involved. He knows commands like “down” and “come,” and is highly motivated to learn—especially when cuddles are part of the deal.

He currently enjoys going into his crate for snacks and rides calmly when secured, which helps him feel safe and secure. With his cheerful temperament and eagerness to please, continued training will only help him shine brighter.

He is neutered, microchipped, and medically prepared through rescue care, and ready to find his forever home. Adoption fee is $850 ($650 adoption fee + $250 travel fee).

Tuba isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for a person to follow from room to room, forever. And he’s ready to love them with his whole happy pug heart.
