Trinity- Back in early 2018 I had been volunteering at Barstow Humane Society, photographing the adoptable pets and sharing them online. I had also started volunteering there a few years before that. That is where I first met Trinity and her kennel mate, Wilma. At the time they were younger and full of spunk! They were kenneled together, so my sister and I took them out to photograph. They werenāt sure about the photography equipment so we had to help them feel comfortable. We took their pictures and posted them online. Little did we know, that started a 5 year journey with these two. Trinity and Wilma spent about 3 years at the shelter. At one point, they were adopted together, but then brought back because the owners were moving. They found themselves back at the shelter. When Covid hit, I went to Barstow Humane Society to look for a foster dog. Thatās when I saw that Wilma and Trinity were back. I had already committed to fostering another dog but it broke my heart that I couldnāt bring them home with me too. Almost two years passed and I was spending that time trying to network them and see if any rescues would take them. No such luckā¦. finally in January of 2022 we were able to foster Wilma and Trinity. Itās been over a year of fostering these spunky girls and we still have not found their Forever Homes. Thatās about 5 years of being in limbo for these girls. Unfortunately, we (my sister and I) are unable to adopt them because they do not like cats, and I have 3. We have spent over a year playing musical rooms to keep them separated from our cats. They do, however, get along great with other dogs of all sizes. They were originally thought to be bonded and now we think they can be separated as long as they are adopted into a home with other dogs/dog. We have learned so much about them this past year. Hereās some info on Trinity. Trinity is a beautiful brindle shepherd mix. She is a sweet girl who had been at the shelter for a long time before being fostered. Trinity gets along with other dogs of all sizes. She thrives best with other dogs. She needs to be in a home with no cats. Trinity needs a big yard to have the ability to run around and patrol. She likes knowing whatās going on with the neighborhood. She is a gentle and sensitive soul but she can get silly too. She is house trained! She LOVES car rides and is pretty good on leash. She knows how to sit and weāre working on other training skills. Trinity is still pretty active for her age and would make a great hiking buddy or to go on adventures with. While sheās got a lot of spunk she is ready to settle down into a home ugh of her own. No more being stuck in limbo. Trinity is timid around men but warms up when she knows sheās safe. Sheās great with kids and very respectful and gentle with them. Sheās ready for stability and a Forever Home and Family that will love and cherish her for the rest of her life. ⤠⤠Hereās her shelter info.
