Meet Rider of Low! This long-bodied, short-legged pup is part dachshund, part mythical creature, and 100% adorable. Rider was terrified when he first arrived at the shelter, although with love and encouragement from volunteers, he has blossomed into a total love bug. Once he gets to know someone, he is all kisses and ear snuffles, and he really digs a good butt scratch.
This young senior has a lot of pep in his step, and loves to sniff and explore. He has done well with other small dogs in the shelter and may do well either as a solo dog or with a canine buddy. Rider is sensitive to lasso leashes or anything going over his head, however he has been fine with a collar and clip leash. He is looking for an experienced adopter and a calm adult household where he can relax and enjoy the best things in life
