Meet Birdie — a 1.5-year-old medium-small terrier mix (possibly Cairn Terrier/Affenpinscher) who weighs just 18 pounds and is full of gentle charm. Despite her “wild child” look in photos, Birdie is anything but—she has a soft wire-haired coat, a sweet soul, and an incredibly polite personality. Grooming every 4–5 months will keep her looking as lovely as she acts.
Birdie was sadly surrendered by her family when they could no longer care for her. She’s apartment-trained, crate-trained, and has perfect indoor manners. When you grab the leash, she knows it’s time for her favorite activity—walks! She gets along well with other dogs in her foster home and patiently waits for her turn outside when you say the word “potty.” She doesn’t bark excessively, is incredibly well-mannered, and has a kind and happy disposition that makes her easy to love.
