Thought to be around 4 years old, this stunning silver-and-white girl arrived at Animal Friends of the Valleys as a stray — and immediately won over every staff member and volunteer who met her. Though she’s listed as a Catahoula Leopard Dog, she looks and behaves more like a Great Pyrenees or Anatolian Shepherd mix… calm, soft, soulful, and absolutely majestic at over 100 pounds of pure sweetness.
Despite her size, Sterling is a gentle, polite companion who stays right by your side on walks, never pulling, never rushing — just quietly matching your pace. She’s housebroken, incredibly well-mannered, and eager to please. One kind word, one ear scratch, and she melts with gratitude. She even knows “sit” and would love to learn more, especially since she’s very treat motivated.
She’s currently kenneled with Midas, another sweet mellow boy, and the two of them are peas in a pod. Her kindness toward him shows just how loving her spirit truly is.
