Update: Shiloh (now named Navi) was ADOPTED!

She is doing wonderful, and here’s some recent news from her mom Sheridan:

“She is great! She is very sneaky and needs a lot of redirection, but she has been a godsend for my oldest son who has sensory needs. We are amazed that on hikes, she can go tracing through nature at a very long distance and the moment I whistle she returns right to our side. She will be doing rattlesnake training soon so that she can continue to enjoy nature to the fullest. Even our younger son who was hesitant in the beginning, he adores her, and when he comes home, seeks her out to give her snuggles and play with her immediately.”

Shiloh is a female Australian Cattle Dog mix, around 8 months old, who came into Animal Friends of the Valleys as a stray wandering around a school, found by a good samaritan and in an injured state.

After her injuries were addressed by shelter health check staff, this girl became available for adoption once it was concluded no owner was coming for her. Although she needs time to adjust to new people, she is ready for a new home.

She may need some time to adjust to very young children, and for those who are interested in her, it’s highly recommended to set up a meet and greet with both kids in the home and any other dogs.
