Sasha’s story is one of quiet devotion.

Found on the Pala Reservation and brought to safety at Animal Friends of the Valleys, this gentle mama cat soon gave birth to her kittens and began the work she knew best—protecting, nurturing, and loving her babies with everything she had. Not long after, Sasha and her little family were placed into a foster home, where she could raise them in comfort and peace.

And she did so beautifully.

Fiercely protective and endlessly attentive, Sasha made sure each of her kittens was safe, cared for, and ready for the world. Because of her, every one of her babies has found a forever home.

Now, for the first time, Sasha is the one waiting.

Over the past few months in foster, she’s slowly let go of her guard and begun to blossom into the affectionate, gentle companion she was always meant to be. Without the responsibilities of motherhood, her own personality is finally shining through—and it’s something truly special.
