Shadow is a 1.5-year-old Pit Bull/Labrador Retriever mix with a tuxedo coat, soulful eyes, and the most adorable short legs you’ve ever seen. Weighing in around 25 lbs, he’s compact, huggable, and full of heart. Shadow was surrendered to the shelter on 5/8/2025 along with his two brothers. Understandably, the shelter has been overwhelming for him—and he’s been spending his days quietly in the back of his kennel.
But when Shadow sees someone he trusts, everything changes. His eyes light up, his tail wags, and he jumps with pure joy. He’s slowly starting to come out of his shell—thanks to being kenneled with other friendly dogs—and he’s just waiting for a gentle, patient family to help him truly blossom. He’s already begun to seek out affection, and once he’s out of the shelter environment, there’s no doubt he’ll become a loyal, loving companion.
