Saoirse takes time to warm up to new dogs and people, but once she knows you she’ll be your partner in crime! She’s a perfect medium size dog that would do great with any active family!
Saoirse originally wound up in the Lee County Animal Shelter in Sanford, NC. With only 16 dog kennels and a county population of almost 70,000, this shelter gets full extremely fast.
Saoirse’s time was running out fast so Lending Paws a Hand Animal Rescue stepped up to save her. In her foster home she currently lives with one 8 year old little girl and also a male dog and does great with both of them!
Her ideal family would be one with a fenced in backyard and understands her quirks of reacting to other dogs when she first meets them. A family that can keep up with her training and continue providing her with physical and mental stimulation would be perfect!
