For 820 Days Sally has been waiting for her forever home.
She’s 9 years old and is spending her golden years in a kennel. Sally has been waiting for over two years, and now she faces her third Thanksgiving and Christmas in the shelter. It seems she will be celebrating her 10th birthday without the warmth of a family by her side. Sally watches as dogs come and go from the shelter, her heart heavy with the question of why she remains unchosen.
The staff and volunteers love Sally, but the shelter is not her home. She deserves to have a family of her own. Sally loves her short walks, cuddles, and just relaxing. She’s past all puppy behaviors and knows commands. She does not like cats but adores children. Sally would do best as the only dog in the home. If there are other dogs in a home it will require meet and greet. Sally has been enrolled in training with one of the staff members, and training will transfer to the new owner.
