Sadie is a beautiful 6-year-old Collie who has quickly settled into her foster home. She is a calm and mellow companion indoors, but she loves gazing out the window, keeping an eye on the world. While she enjoys being close to her humans, she is also content to observe from a distance.
This smart girl is learning commands and understands “no,” but she still needs a tasty treat to reliably come when called. Because of her love for the outdoors, a home with a fenced-in yard would be ideal for her to safely explore and enjoy.
A Resilient & Gentle Spirit
Sadie had an unfortunate run-in with a car when she was younger, but you’d never know it—aside from being a bit slower to get up, she moves well and enjoys walks. She is polite on a leash, but long walks or runs wouldn’t be the best fit for her.
She has excellent house manners, is trustworthy outside of a crate, and communicates when she needs to go out by approaching her humans and barking. Sadie is a great “watch” Collie, barking at the door when someone knocks, but she greets visitors well. She is also unfazed by household and weather noises.
