🐕 From Puppyhood to Heartbreak: Rango’s Story
Rango first came to Animal Friends of the Valleys as a young puppy and was adopted out to what should have been a forever home. Sadly, his journey came full circle when he was recently returned by his previous owner on May 24, 2025.
Despite the heartbreak, Rango hasn’t lost his calm, gentle spirit. The soft, soulful energy he radiates is impossible to miss.
🧒 Great With Kids, Cats, and Other Dogs
Rango’s former owners noted that he was excellent with children, friendly with other dogs, and even did well with cats. He was fully housebroken in their home and clearly knows how to be part of a family.
🐾 A Cuddly, Trainable Companion
Tall and lanky, this handsome shepherd mix leans in for cuddles and thrives on quiet affection. He already knows the “Sit” command, and volunteers say he walks beautifully on leash with no pulling—even when running! Rango is eager to please, highly trainable, and always in tune with his person.
🌳 Nature-Lover at Heart
Rango lights up when he’s outside. He’s the kind of dog who takes joy in every new smell, breeze, and moment on the trail. Whether you’re hiking, jogging, or just taking a stroll around the block, Rango will be your peaceful, loyal shadow.
💌 The Home Rango Deserves
Rango is looking for a family who will truly commit to loving him forever—because he’s more than ready to give his whole heart again. His perfect home would offer time outdoors, cozy snuggles, continued positive reinforcement training, and most importantly, a sense of safety and belonging.
To meet Rango, visit Animal Friends of the Valleys or stop by their location in Wildomar, CA. Be sure to ask for ID #723786. 🐶❤️
