Luke is a 3-year-old Beagle/Spaniel mix with a heart as big as his floppy ears. Weighing just under 30 lbs, he’s the perfect medium-sized companion for walks, snuggles, and everything in between. Luke’s story almost ended too soon—he was picked up as a stray and brought to a crowded shelter where, after no one came to claim him, he was placed on “the list.” But fate intervened when a shelter staff member saw something special in Luke and reached out to rescue groups for help.
Thankfully, the Burlington County Animal Alliance of NJ (BCAA) stepped in and gave Luke a second chance at life. Since entering rescue, he’s charmed everyone he meets. Luke is friendly with both dogs and people, walks well on a leash, and is well-mannered in his kennel. He shares his space—and even his food—with his best buddy, Buddy, without a fuss. Luke is past his puppy stage, house-trained, and truly just wants to belong to someone who loves him.
