When Shyla (formerly Margie) was found as a stray along a busy highway, she was scared, shut down, and out of time at a high-kill shelter in Tulare County. Thanks to a compassionate foster family, she was given a second chance—but now she needs a forever home where she can truly flourish!

From Shutdown to Shining
When Shyla first arrived in foster care, she was completely shut down, exhausted, and unsure of her surroundings. But with love, patience, and time, she’s beginning to come out of her shell! Now, she’s showing her sweet and playful side—running, playing, and even lifting her tail with confidence.
Her foster family took her to a working ranch, where she met other Anatolian Shepherds, goats, ducks, cats, and horses. While she was unsure at first, it’s clear she has the potential to become a fantastic guardian or a devoted family companion in the right setting.
