Meet Pocus — a gentle, affectionate 8-year-old Heeler/German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her 65-pound frame. Though she’s a large girl, Pocus is soft in spirit and devoted to the humans she bonds with. Her calm, sweet nature shines brightest in a home with a predictable routine and plenty of love to go around.

Pocus would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard for lounging and sniffing between naps on the couch. She’s a bit of a picky eater (prefers to nibble), so she eats in her kennel when sharing space with other dogs. She sleeps through the night but does have some mild separation anxiety—she won’t destroy anything, but she might serenade you until you return, so apartment life isn’t ideal.
Her favorite pastime? Snuggling on the couch after a long walk with her favorite human by her side.
