Piper, a two-year-old Goldendoodle, is ready to find her perfect family. This energetic and affectionate dog has a lot of love to give but comes with specific needs to ensure her continued progress and happiness.
Adoption experts at Perfect Paws describe Piper as a “big baby” with a dominant personality. While she has made great strides in managing her reactivity, she requires slow introductions to new dogs and doesn’t do well with other dominant pets. To keep her safe and comfortable, Piper must be walked with a gentle lead and a short leash, and she is trained to wear a muzzle for grooming and vet visits until she feels secure.
Piper is looking for an experienced adopter who understands her need for patience when meeting new people. Her trust is earned with a “no look, no touch” approach, giving her the time to come to you on her terms. Because of her specific needs, Piper is best suited for a home with no children under 13 and no apartment living, as she tends to bark at passersby.
This crate-trained and potty-trained pup is a bundle of personality. She knows basic obedience, loves camping adventures, and enjoys snuggling in bed with her favorite humans. A fenced yard is preferred but not required if her new family is active and dedicated to her exercise needs.
