UPDATE: Piper has been ADOPTED!
Piper is a 2-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix that was found by a good samaritan on a dirt road near a local mountain. Without a collar, microchip, or leash, unfortunately there’s no easy way to reach out to an owner, if any. She is frozen, shut down, and has definitely been through it. She has a dirty coat and matting around her ears, which Mel the shelter groomer helps take care of. She may also have a mix of Papillon due to her coat and ears.
Piper will be available at Animal Friends of the Valleys in Wildomar, CA and will likely need a patient and relaxed home environment in order to see her blossom into the dog she’s meant to be. ***Great news!
