Copper is a striking 3-year-old, 80-pound Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail who’s been waiting nearly a year for his forever home. Originally found as a stray in Georgia and transported to Seattle via Project Freedom Ride, Copper can be cautious around new people at first—but once he knows you (or you offer a treat), he turns into an affectionate, loyal companion. Outside his initial shyness, he’s energetic, playful, and ready to find a family of his own.

Why He’s the Ultimate Adventure Buddy
🐾 3 years old and full of youthful energy
🎾 Loves to chase balls (though still learning to bring them back!)
🦴 Warms up quickly with treats and kind words
🐕 Gets along with dogs after proper introductions
🚶‍♂️ Confident on leash—leads without pulling
🏃‍♂️ Easy to tire out with a good round of play or walk

What He’s Looking For
✔️ A single-family home with a securely fenced yard
✔️ No cats or small animals
✔️ An adopter with large or working breed experience
✔️ Someone who can continue his socialization and build his confidence

Copper is neutered, vaccinated (Rabies, DAPPV, Bordetella), microchipped, heartworm tested, and on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee is $550, which supports the rescue work of Dog Gone Seattle.

After nearly a year in foster care, Copper is more than ready to meet his forever person. Could it be you?
