Back in October, Laura and John from Placitas, New Mexico found a young dog running alongside a major highway. They brought him to safety, fed him, searched for his owner, and had him scanned at VCA Animal Hospital. The owner was contacted — but never came for him. After multiple calls ignored, it became painfully clear he was dumped.
Nutter, sweet and trusting, had no collar and nowhere to go. Laura and John desperately tried every rescue they could find — many multiple times — but every group is full. With no safe placement available, Nutter is now at Albuquerque Animal Welfare Westside, where space is tight and time is limited.
