Mona is such a sweet girl who has already spent so much time in shelters. At 13 years old, we want her to finally find her forever home! You have truly never met a cat as sweet as Mona. “Sweet” is a word that gets overused but it really is the best way to describe this angel! She craves human attention so much that she’ll actually curl up on your shoulders to cuddle! Even though she has been given up on and tossed aside so many times, she craves human attention above all else. Before Mona came to us, she was in an overcrowded shelter for quite some time. She was adopted, but the dogs in the home would chase and scare her, and she was clearly unhappy. The family refused to bring her back, so she came here for a second chance. The family could not say enough good things about Mona, and only made the difficult choice to surrender her for her own happiness. She does need a home without dogs for that to happen, and would prefer to be the only cat as well. She does tend to keep to herself, so if there was another cat in the home, she’d be happiest where the cats have a similar calm temperament, but would truly thrive as a solo kitty. Mona is so affectionate, she even slept in bed with her previous people! She is so docile and sweet, and just looking for her true forever home.
