HoneyBear is a 10-month-old, 70-pound puppy with a golden heart and a big, bumbling spirit. Recently rescued from a shelter, she’s now safe in foster care and showing just how joyful and affectionate she can be. Described by her foster mom as “phenomenal,” HoneyBear is a goofy lovebug who’s still discovering the world—one jump, slipper steal, and treat at a time. She plays fetch, takes treats gently, and is respectfully curious about cats. She’s also picking up social cues from the resident Collies and has natural behaviors that could even make her a great candidate for service dog work.
Make no mistake—HoneyBear is still a baby with lots of energy, minimal training, and puppy manners. But with positive reinforcement and a loving, patient home, this smart and affectionate girl has the potential to become an extraordinary companion. Due to her size and enthusiasm, she’s best suited for a home without small children or tiny dogs. Her foster mom says if circumstances were different, she’d adopt HoneyBear herself.
