Choco’s journey began at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center, where he arrived on November 13, 2024, as an owner surrender. While his past is a mystery, it’s hard to imagine why anyone would part with this sweet boy. From the moment you meet him, it’s clear that Choco lives up to his name—a true sweetheart with an elegant prance and a joyful spirit.

At just 10 months old, Choco is a petite German Shepherd mix weighing 30 pounds. Unlike many of his breed, his smaller size makes him adaptable to various living situations, from apartments to spacious homes. Despite his young age, Choco is attentive to his handler, responds well to corrections, and has the added charm of knowing commands in Spanish.
