Poppy came into WAG’s care in July after running around Sequim for days. Sadly, no one has come looking for her. Poppy is a sweet, young dog- maybe only about a year old. She had had puppies not too long before we encountered her, but is now spayed. While at the Halfway Home Ranch, she has had the opportunity to play auntie to puppies and is so sweet with them.
We believe she’ll do well with other dogs as well, but she is scared of cats. We have not seen Poppy interact with kids, but may be okay with respectful children. She pretty quickly warms up to most people. Poppy would benefit from more training and someone to keep her company. A secure fence to contain this 50 lb girl is a must.
