🐶 Meet Joelle:
Joelle is a stunning 1-year, 7-month-old Shepherd mix (possibly with Doberman) who arrived at Animal Friends of the Valleys in Wildomar, CA as a stray on 4/19/2025. Weighing between 36–75 lbs, she has a lean, elegant build, a striking black and tan coat, and soulful brown eyes that hint at the gentle spirit within.
😔 A Heartbreaking Past:
Joelle is a very scared and confused girl—so terrified that it’s hard not to wonder what she’s endured. The shelter environment is overwhelming for many dogs, but Joelle’s fear feels deeper. Despite this, she is slowly making progress. Our dog walkers are taking it slow, and she’s already made it to the parking lot for a photo shoot—a big step for her! When approached gently, Joelle melts into soft eyes and gives a shy tail (nub) wag. She’s starting to accept affection and shows flickers of the sweet, loving dog she truly is.
