Kamila is a 5-month-old Schnauzer/Terrier mix with a whole lot of spirit packed into her tiny 14-lb frame. She’s currently living in a shelter in Puerto Rico, dreaming of the day she can make her big journey to the DC area — but she can only get here if a foster or adopter steps forward. Like many satos, Kamila has already faced more uncertainty in her first months of life than most dogs ever will, yet she remains eager, curious, loving, and ready for the warmth of a real home. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and is still growing into her paws and personality.

She needs humans who understand that these pups require patience, structure, and consistent socialization. She would do best with:
✔️ A resident dog to teach her the ropes or
✔️ A family committed to dog-park playdates, neighborhood walks, training classes, or doggie daycare
She’s an older puppy bursting with curiosity and the desire to explore the world with her people. Long sniffy walks, romps with dog friends, learning new things — she’s ready for it all. What she wants most is a family to love and grow with.
