Name: Jenny Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua mix
Best Guess for Age: 12 years as of 9/30/2024 SEX: female
Approximate Weight: 13 lbs.
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen her with cats but she can be tested. We would be cautious placing her in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise. Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature. We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.
Currently Living at: DC area foster home.
Jenny is Looking For: Jenny is a sweet senior who sadly found herself in the shelter through no fault of her own. She is eager to once again be safe and loved and under her own roof. And this is what Jenny wants: Someone who admires the wisdom of a senior dog. She loves to cuddle and is happiest when she’s snuggled up on a warm lap. Although she has slowed down a bit with age, she still enjoys short walks and exploring her surroundings. Like most Chihuahuas, she is likely to form a strong bond with her favorite human.
Her large, expressive eyes and perky ears give her a curious and alert look. Despite her age, she still has a sprightly step and a wagging tail. Jenny will be a sweet and affectionate companion to some lucky person or family.
