Meet Huckleberry, AKA Huck! This boy is as sweet as the huckleberries you find in the Pacific Northwest, although Huck hails from Alabama!
Huck is ready for his forever family. Huckleberry is a social butterfly and loves dogs and humans alike!
He loves to play with dogs around his size that like to wrestle, chase, and play tag. With people, he loves playing tug-o-war, chasing a ball, and of course walks! One of his happy places is playing in the yard with his dog and human friends. Huck likes to carry things like shoes around in his mouth – he gets so excited to play ball that he will pick up whatever is in sight!
When he does this, he is easily redirected with a quick no and is learning fast.
Huck is also quickly learning more manners like how to sit and lay down.
Huck is still unsure of cats as they do not play like his canine companions! He has mostly kept his distance, and after a bark or two, finds a new activity. If you’re looking for a pup as sweet as a huckleberry, Huck is the one for you! He is ready to join his forever family and will bring lots of love! Huck is heartworm positive, but we will coordinate with a partner vet for his treatment and cover the costs! We do prefer dogs go through their treatment with their adopters to help with the bonding process.
