Medical Note:
Hatti was born to a heartworm-positive mother. While microfilariae cannot develop into adult heartworms without mosquito transmission, SOS recommends that Hatti remain on Advantage Multi or Parasedge (imidacloprid + moxidectin) monthly for at least the first three months after adoption to fully eliminate any remaining microfilaria and reduce risk to other dogs. This also covers flea prevention; an additional oral tick preventative is recommended.
