We got a call about Ginny last year from a neighboring rescue. Someone saw Ginny in a cemetery in the middle of nowhere heavily bred. They attempted to get her but she was too scared. It was almost dark but I decided to try and hurry and see if I could catch her before she wandered off.

When I got there she was standing out in the cemetery just looking around. This tiny frame girl looked so scared and lost. I called her over, she came close but she was too scared of me to let me touch her. I started throwing treats and realized she was extremely hungry and food was the ticket. After I was able to get her, from that day forward her street days ended.

Ginny is a fantastic farm dog now. She listens very well and loves to chase squirrels! She has amazing recall and will follow her person anywhere. We recently took her with another dog of ours to a vet appointment and she did amazing and everyone loved her. She laid on the floor and slept and walked on the leash like a pro! Ginny is crate trained and house trained.

I don’t recommend cats for Ginny although she may be just fine with them. Ginny is very submissive with new people but happy to meet them. She is good with other dogs but can be a little bossy; she corrects very easily. She has another female dog her size she shares a pen with when we are gone and they are buddies with no issues. She mingles with 30 to 40 dogs all day long just fine as well. If Ginny seems like a good fit for your family please fill out the application at SGERINC.COM to get started.

Ginny is vaccinated, spayed and current on everything. She is light hw positive but she has done her slow kill and is just on monthly hw prevention with no restrictions. She would be a great dog to go on trail rides with horses or hiking and she loves to be out and about, but also loves to cuddle and relax just the same.
