Meet Lupe, a petite five-year-old Maltese with a heart as big as her 8-pound frame. Though shy and a bit skittish around people, this gentle pup is on a journey of trust and discovery, thanks to her supportive foster family and her canine companions.
Lupe finds comfort in observing the world from the safety of her dog bed, often keeping a watchful eye on her furry friends and occasionally following them around. One special bond stands out—a friendship with another female dog who’s helping Lupe learn the ropes. It’s clear that Lupe would thrive in a home with a calm, confident dog who can show her that people aren’t so scary after all.
Adapting to a new routine is a work in progress for Lupe. She’s still mastering the basics, like potty training and crate time, and she’s not too sure about the leash yet. A fenced yard would be ideal for this cautious explorer to feel secure as she gets more comfortable with her surroundings. Toys and treats are new delights in her life, and she’s beginning to discover the joy of chewing and play.
“Every day, Lupe is blossoming,” her foster mom shares. “She’s gone from spending all her time in the kennel to sleeping on a bed right next to mine. It’s wonderful to see her progress.”
