Dukey is a 1½-year-old Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mix who has already shown just how strong and loving he is. After being missing from his original home, he returned underweight and with hair loss—but even through it all, his kind spirit never faded.
Now at around 50 pounds and working his way up to a healthy 60, his coat is coming back beautifully, and so is his confidence.
His Personality
Dukey is everything you’d hope for in a gentle giant—sweet, loving, and calm-natured. He enjoys being around people, happily offers his paw for a shake, and has a soft, affectionate way about him that makes you feel instantly connected.
He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people, soaking up attention and giving it right back. His gentle demeanor makes him a joy to spend time with.
While Dukey is wonderful with humans, he’s not currently comfortable around other dogs. Because of this, he’ll do best as the only pet in the home where he can feel secure and continue building confidence.
