Sanders is a tiny 7 lb pup with a big story of survival. Rescued from a hoarding situation, he came to us with almost no positive experiences with people. He is essentially feral, and while he has made progress in foster care, he still needs lots of time, patience, and understanding to feel safe. Sanders cannot be leashed or picked up, and he only tolerates gentle petting on his terms. Because of this, he is considered a bite risk when frightened—but outside of those moments, he’s a little dog just trying to figure out that the world isn’t so scary.
