Teddy’s story begins quietly.
This 2-year-old Miniature Poodle mix was found as a stray and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on June 6. With no known history and just one eye, it’s clear he’s had to navigate the world a little differently—but what’s remarkable is how much love he still has to give.
At first, Teddy can be a bit unsure. He appreciates a slow, gentle approach when meeting new people, taking his time to understand that he’s safe. But once that trust is there, something beautiful unfolds.
He softens.
He leans in.
And he shows just how incredibly sweet and affectionate he truly is.
Weighing just 15 pounds, Teddy is the kind of dog who doesn’t ask for much—just a calm environment, a kind voice, and someone who will let him bloom at his own pace. His soft white and gray coat and gentle expression make him undeniably adorable, and with a little grooming, he’ll absolutely shine.

What Teddy Is Looking For
✔️ A calm, adult-only home where he can feel secure
✔️ A patient adopter who will give him time to build trust
✔️ A peaceful routine and gentle companionship
✔️ Someone who sees the beauty in a sensitive, soulful dog
Teddy doesn’t need a busy household or constant excitement. He’s looking for something softer—a quiet place to land, where he can feel safe enough to fully open his heart.
And when he does, he’ll be the kind of companion who stays close, loves deeply, and reminds you how meaningful trust can be.
