Josie is a sweet girl with lots of love to give. She was found wandering around an elementary school where the staff was able to lure her in and bring her to a shelter. She was transported to our rescue in NJ in August 2023 and has been in foster care since then. Yes almost 18 months in foster care but no one understands why she hasn’t found her forever home.
Josie is a 2.5 year old mixed breed who will bring you happiness everyday by greeting you with smiles, love and the most wiggliest butt that you have ever seen!
She loves the outdoors and you can find her searching for the latest yard visitor or soaking up rays on the deck. Playing ball and tug of war are some of her favorites past times and squeaky toys are on the top of her list.
She loves when people come to visit and everyone who meets her says she is soooo sweet. She is a good listener, knows her basic commands and walks well on the leash. Not bothered by other dogs, squirrels or chipmunks but loves to smell all the great scents. Curious and observant she likes looking out the window watching the world go by.
When not playing, she loves snuggling with my foster family and my favorite thing is sneaking into bed in the morning and spooning with my person.
I am selective about my dog friends and need to be slowly introduced and probably would do best as a solo dog.
I am fully house trained and up to date on all my shots.
