Introducing Fluffball, the charming Great Pyrenees with a heart as big as her fluffy coat! Her journey to her current home began in December 2023 when Fluffball was found down the road, nestled in a culvert. Living in an area where dogs are often abandoned, it is suspected that she was one of those unfortunate souls left to fend for herself.

Fortunately, it seemed a kind neighbor had been leaving food for her. At first glance, Fluffball was skinny but appeared surprisingly healthy. She was scooped up and provided with a safe space in a crate in the garage, a place she seemed accustomed to, suggesting she might have been crate-trained before. Initially estimated to be 9-10 months old due to her puppy-like behavior, it was later discovered she was closer to a year and a half, giving a glimpse of her final size – a perfect blend of Great Pyrenees characteristics in a slightly smaller package. It took a few days for Fluffball to warm up to her finders.

She emerged from the crate tentatively at first, but gradually, her playful and affectionate nature shone through. Introduced to their two other dogs, she formed a special bond with their two-year-old female mixed breed, engaging in playful antics all day. As the cold weather set in, she was welcomed into their home, where she quickly adapted, showcasing her impeccable house manners and even conquering the challenge of walking on tile.

With her intelligence and trainable nature, they are confident she’ll overcome this challenge in time. Her loyalty to her finders is evident, and they envision her becoming a steadfast companion to the right family. Fluffball’s ideal home would be one with ample space, perhaps a farm where she can embrace her instincts and play freely. A family with another young dog or children would be perfect, as her loving spirit thrives in companionship. An apartment wouldn’t suit her – she craves room to roam. Fluffball is equipped for all seasons, thriving in the cold but needing the comfort of air conditioning during the summer.

While her fosters would love to keep Fluffball, their limited indoor space prevents them from providing her with the home she truly deserves. They are confident she’ll make an exceptional companion for a lucky family ready to embrace her independent yet affectionate spirit. Ready to welcome Fluffball into your home?
