Firefly

Meet Firefly!! We got a call about this poor pup sitting by a fire at a crack house. Our volunteers went over to the house and it was just in terrible condition. Poor Firefly was sitting out near the fire keeping warm. She was very skinny and had mange. Firefly was starving at the time we showed up and the people inside would not feed her or give her water. She had no shelter!!! We got her to the fosters house to get her warm and comfortable. We attached a photo in her bio of when we found her at the fire. Firefly is a lovebug. She enjoys her human contact as she never got the attention where she was. Belly rubs are her favorite thing!!! After she plays with you or the other dog friends, she will want to snuggle up with you on the couch while watching TV or a movie. Firefly enjoys going on walks with you to explore the outdoors in a good way. She enjoys playing chase with other dogs in the fenced yard. Firefly also enjoys playing with the children in the yard. She is curious as to what they are doing. Needless to say, Firefly will make a good family candidate. Don’t miss out on the sweet and loving girl. Firefly is a med energy girl who has a great temperament. She just needs a family or couple now to give her the love and forever home she deserves. Firefly cannot wait to meet her forever family soon!!! Fetching Hearts Rescue takes puppies extremely serious. They require a lot of work, time, training and socializing. Please know that we do not give puppies to any family or couple. They will require training just like every puppy. Spay/Neuter All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don’t break with disease. VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward. HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartgard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
