Rescued just in time from a high-kill shelter in Houston, Fiona was surrendered by her previous owner and placed on the euthanasia list due to a birth defect—one of her legs never fully developed. But thanks to the quick action of Destination Rescue and a loving foster, Fiona’s story is being rewritten, one joyful step at a time.

Fiona doesn’t let her wobbly gait slow her down. She’s a spirited, sweet-natured girl who loves outdoor play and adventure just as much as she loves couch cuddles. Whether she keeps her leg or eventually undergoes amputation for more stability, Fiona is resilient, joyful, and ready to give unconditional love.
