I am a sweet lovable fellow named Eddie. I am about 3 years old and have lots of young dog energy. I love to play all the time, especially fetch with my family or chasing after balls. (Check-out my video! Please open it in a new window.) I hope you don’t mind a wet face. I love to give kisses and get belly rubs in return. I love to flop over on my back with paws in the air to tempt anyone passing by to give me a scratch or two. You can never have too many belly rubs. My foster family said I am very obedient and mindful of my family. I have already learned to sit on command and working on a few other phrases.

I am ready for my forever home, and I do have a few requests. I don’t get along with cats and will need a feline-free home. That’s why my last family returned me to the shelter after my first owner died. I get along great with people and children, but other dogs, not so much. I like to be in charge of the pack and let other dogs know who’s the boss. I will need a family where I am the only dog. That way you and I can have more one-on-one time with each other.

I am house-trained and do great on rides in the car. I love going on walks in the neighborhood and I’m learning not be so excited. I am pretty strong when I go on walks and I hope you like to walk, too. I will do best in a home with older children so I don’t accidentally knock them down. I am pretty quiet but will alert when there is someone at the door. I also have been told that I have a beautiful singing voice! I would do fine in an apartment/townhouse or home without a fence as long as I had plenty of walks and playtime with my family.
