Dylan, nicknamed by Rocky and the team, is a 1 year old male Mastiff/Cane Corso mix, and was on his 4th day already by the time Rocky came across him at the Animal Friends of the Valleys shelter. After having a positive reaction to his collar, Rocky was eager to find out more information about this boy. Animal Control took Dylan from a friend of the owner, as a few days prior, Dylan’s owner had dropped him off to his friend before leaving to Los Angeles, and had never come back. Apparently, this was due to ICE taking the owner, leaving the pup behind with his friend and led to the surrender. Dylan is shy, but definitely has a sweet personality hidden away and with love and patience, he shows his true colors – Rocky tries to put him out in the yard to see if he would act differently, and he wags his tail and shows how lively he can be!
Not long after Rocky sat with Dylan, unfortunately he came down with aspiration pneumonia – something that gave Dylan a high fever, nausea with vomiting, and loss of appetite along with the coughing. Currently, Dylan is in isolation due to the nature of his health at this time, but he is still remaining hopeful! Please note Dylan will need some recovery time (unknown at this moment what that length of time is) before he is able to be adopted, however he’ll still need someone waiting to adopt him after he recovers!
