Don’t let his serious expression fool you…he’s a gem!  Dusty is not a barker either and likes to lay on the couch with his family. He’s good with other dogs, big or small plus he loves the kiddos!! Dusty would do well with another fun, easy-going, and playful dog in the home.  Another dog is not required as long as the humans are committed to spending a lot of time with him.

Dusty has learned good manners quickly and is smart/treat motivated. Check out his video while he SITS, CATCHES and doing so with another pup right next time.  Watch him catch treats in the air!  He will also go into his crate for bedtime when asked.  He is so smart and such a good boy!

What a fab-u-lous boy!  Jovial, cheerful, lighhearted – all words that – which is exactly what Dusty is – sweet, happy, loveable boy.

When left out of the crate, he is very good and just lays down.  Now if you leave tasty-tasty items on the counter, Dusty is big enough to do a little counter surfing.  His foster family is working on this.

Dusty is also great riding in the car.  So with all of his other great personality traits, he would be an awesome pup to take on adventures.  He would be great a destination dog – where you go; he goes too!  Like hitting the greenways & parks, restaurants or breweries, etc. with outdoor seating, Dusty would love to go with you and meet your friends.  Dusty does have some seperation anxiety so a family that works from home, has flexibilty or does want a pup to go with them, would work best for Dusty.  He’d be a great RV’er!

Dusty really needs a home with a nice 5-6 ft fenced in yard.  He has a good amount of energy being able to get out a run around and play will be awesome for him.  He loves to play with toys so make sure to have plenty for him to toss, chase and run around with.

Dusty will skip a home that has kitties…not his favorite thing.

As part of Dusty’s $250 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Dusty is heartworm negative.  If you have questions about this sweet boy, you can email [email protected] If you wish to adopt Dusty, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org.
