If you’re looking for a big, fun-loving goofball, Coco is your gal! Sweet, sweet Coco has a condition called masticatory muscle myositis (MMM). This is an immune disorder that causes Coco’s immune system to identify her own muscle tissue as foreign and attack it.
As a result, Coco’s head is shaped a little differently and she cannot open her jaw all of the way. This doesn’t stop her from being a happy-go-lucky girl with a voracious appetite!
Coco loves to play and loves all things food. She is on a special homemade diet with lots of meat so she has plenty of protein to keep her strength up. Additionally, she takes a daily steroid to help with her chewing and ability to eat.
