Name: Golden Years Dog Sanctuary

We are looking for a forever foster or adopter for Chubby. Chubby is an 11 year old English bulldog we saved at the last minute from a local shelter. He was owned and loved by a man who became ill. His adult son did not want the dog in his house and sent him to the shelter. He is hypothyroid and on medicine which we will continue to provide. He is a short term foster and we must find him a forever home through fostering or adoption asap! Here is what his foster says about Chubby:

Chubby loves attention and is very affectionate with people. Yet, while he likes to be where you are, he also gives you space and doesn’t need 24/7 attention. He does not whine when I leave, he just sleeps. He shows no signs of anxiety, and is super happy when I return. He doesn’t bark or whine…just smiles and perks his ears up He sleeps a lot, is completely house trained, and even goes potty on command!

He does drink a lot of water so likes his potty breaks. He likes to go for walks and does not pull on the leash. There was a dog barking like crazy at him from the fence of another house, but he completely ignored the dog. He is overweight and gets tired easily, so he can only do short walks. He rarely barks even when the neighboring dogs are barking at him.

Chubby would be perfect for someone who has a yard (so he can potty freely and get some exercise that way). he must go to a home with no other pets due to behavior notes from his past.

Chubby will no doubt love his new Family til his last breath. That is who he is
