UPDATE 11.1.24 – Bonnie is being rehabilitated on Flip’s Farm!
Bonnie is a 6-year-old female Golden Retriever who was found by a person running loose in a residential neighborhood with a chain collar/leash attached. She was then brought into the shelter through night drop. Once the shelter examined her, not only was she discovered to be spayed, but she has a microchip that leads to an owner, and even had records dating back to 2019 with the shelter’s clinic for vaccines/licensing.

However, when the phone number on file was contacted, no one answered, and when the number was texted, the shelter received a text back that it was the wrong number. Now, they wait to see if postcards to the mailing address on file goes through to alert the owners that Bonnie is at the shelter and wants to go home.

Bonnie is reserved, shying away from eye contact and holding a timid appearance. She is clearly affected not only by the stress of the shelter environment, but also by the separation from her owners and home. Now, it’s about whether her owners come in to take her home, or if she can break out of her shell to find a new one, and Rocky may have just the place for her to rehabilitate…
