Meet Bitsy and Cora, a pair of 8-year-old bonded Dachshund sisters with hearts full of love and a lifetime of snuggles to give. These darling girls do everything together and must be adopted as a pair. They recently celebrated their birthday and are now looking for their perfect forever home through Dakota Dachshund Rescue (located in South Dakota).
Bitsy and Cora are as cuddly and sweet as they come. They love walkies, enjoy romping in the backyard with the small dogs in their foster home, and are friendly with everyone they meet—including children. They’ve even previously lived with cats. These girls are crate trained and do very well when left for short periods. Cora especially loves zooming around the yard, while Bitsy prefers to stay close to the action (especially if there’s cooking involved!).
Cora and Bitsy are mostly potty trained, especially when taken out frequently. Bitsy is still working on consistency with using a pad indoors, but her foster family is helping her improve daily. Both girls bark to alert when someone comes home or visits, but otherwise are calm and quiet companions. Cora has a special fondness for the men in her foster home, though she adores women too.
Their foster family describes them as incredibly well-behaved, affectionate, and quick to adapt. They love snuggling, being underfoot in the kitchen, and following their people around the house. They’re thriving in their foster home—but what they really need is a loving forever family to call their own.
Adoption Fee (for both): $522.50
This fee covers all vetting needs, including spay, vaccinations (Rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella), heartworm testing, dental care if needed, and microchipping.
