Hi, I’m Bash! I’m a 3-year-old Shih Tzu with a sweet and gentle soul. I might seem a bit shy at first—I like to take my time to warm up to new people and places. When I first arrived here, I felt safest in my crate and needed some space. Now, I like to hang out in the same room as my humans and feel much more at ease.
I’m doing really well with my house training, especially when I’m kept on a schedule. My crate is my little safe haven, but I do prefer to sleep close to my people at night. I’ve recently discovered how much fun toys can be and love to play with other dogs. Treats are also pretty awesome, and spending time in the yard is one of my favorite things.
Sometimes loud noises and busy places make me a little nervous, and I’m still getting the hang of leash walking. I might freeze up on walks, but with a bit of patience, I’m slowly building my confidence. I’d love a fenced yard so I can feel free and safe while I explore.
There’s a playful, happy dog inside of me, and I know that with time, love, and trust, my true personality will shine even more. I even do a little dance when I’m excited! I’m ready to find a family who understands that I just need a bit of patience and kindness to bring out my best self.

Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans.
