Labrador Retriever/Terrier Mix | 4 Years Old | 49 lbs | Falls Church, VA
Avery is a beautiful 4-year-old Labrador Retriever/Terrier mix with the sweetest soul. Rescued by Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, she’s currently thriving in a DC-area foster home and hoping to find her perfect forever family. Avery has a gentle nature and is a world-class snuggler who loves belly rubs, couch time, and cozying up with her humans—and sometimes even “trust falls” onto you just to get more love!
While she enjoys lounging indoors, Avery also has a playful, energetic side and loves morning adventures in Rock Creek Park. She does great with other dogs and needs to be adopted into a home with a confident, friendly resident dog to help guide her. She’s still shy and gaining confidence, so a quieter home (no young kids) would be ideal. She recently did wonderfully meeting a four-year-old and enjoys gentle interactions with children.
