Alligator was seized as part of a larger felony case that went viral March 2023 about a violent dog beating caught on a ring camera in Atlanta. That dog was sadly found dead. He was beaten to death and discarded like trash. Alligator was found in the apartment belonging to the abuser. The case of the violent dog beating is still open. Alligator’s case was dismissed earlier this year. Alligator came into the shelter with high fear & lacerations on his head. Alligator sat in the back of the shelter held as live evidence since March of 2023 away from the adoption floor.
After 447 days, Alligator found himself on the euthanasia list. He was pulled by our rescue and now waits patiently in foster for his forever home. Because of the unimaginable trauma that Alligator faced, he prefers to be the only dog in the home. He absolutely adores humans despite being failed by so many. He has a heart full of love and deserves to spend this new chapter of his life knowing what companionship feels like.
