Meet Sosi, a sweet and shy 8-month-old, 38-pound German shepherd mix who is ready to find a place to call home. This lovely girl may be a little timid at first, but with patience and love, she’s blossoming into a trusting and affectionate companion. Sosi is still learning about the world around her, but she has so much love to give once she feels safe.
Sosi is a cuddle-puddle at heart and will happily lay on her side to receive all the pets and affection. She’s working on basic obedience skills and has gained confidence with leash walking—volunteers report she’s light as a feather and now happily wags her tail. She’s eager to learn and loves spending her downtime getting cozy and loved on. Sosi is a sweet, gentle girl who will thrive in a home with a calm, structured environment and plenty of consistency.
She’s gaining confidence every day, especially during her playtime with the resident dog in her foster home. Sosi was working on her doggy social skills in playgroup at the shelter, and she’s now doing wonderfully with her foster dog sibling. She would do best in a home with appropriately matched dog friends, or as the only dog with her people.
